Royal Waterways: whatever the trigger for Cornifer leaving might be, it's probably slower than just buying the map from him in person.City of Tears: because buying the map from Cornifer here is faster than beating Soul Master and getting Dive.Howling Cliffs: whatever the trigger for Cornifer leaving might be, it's probably slower than just buying the map from him in person, if there is one at all.The maps that they buy from Cornifer in person are: The Dapper Mapper Speedrun does have some clues for what things might trigger Cornifer to leave an area before then though. My guess is that any of those at all would trigger him to leave Deepnest but I haven't tested all possibilities. Deepnest: Buying the map from him triggers him to leave.Usually the Queen's Gardens map is the last one I get so just getting all the maps triggers him to leave, overriding any area-based triggers that might exist. Guesses could be Traitor Lord or the White Lady's White Fragment, but I haven't noticed anything. Guesses could be Uumuu, Monomon, or the Fog Canyon Charm Notch, but I haven't noticed anything here either. The obvious guess would be Isma's Tear, other possibilities to try could be Dung Defender, Flukemarm, and God Tuner, but I haven't actually noticed here either. idk if it could be anything related to the Colosseum or not. It doesn't seem to be Hornet 2, King's Brand, Dash Slash, or Markoth. I have never noticed him leaving this area unless I get all the maps or all the dreamers. Has anyone tested what happens if you defeat Broken Vessel and then go back out before getting Wings? (I'm also curious about this for Infected Crossroads.) Ancient Basin: I'm guessing either Broken Vessel or Monarch Wings? Not sure which.there's no way to tell without cheats/mods or major glitches. Resting Grounds: either he's never there, or he leaves after getting Dream Nail.I've never noticed anything triggering him to leave here. Guesses could be Cyclone Slash, the Nightmare Lantern, or Joni's Blessing, but somehow none of those feel right to me, idk. Has anyone tested what happens if you defeat Soul Master and then quit out before getting Dive? Also what about Watcher Knights and Lurien? Can one of them factor into Cornifer leaving the area instead? City of Tears: Soul Master or Desolate Dive? Not sure which.I'm a bit curious, if you somehow get to Mantis Lords without Claw and defeat them, would that also trigger Cornifer to leave the area? If not, what about getting Mark of Pride? (I'm also curious about this for Zote at Vengefly King.)

Has anyone tested what happens if you defeat Hornet and then quit out before getting Dash?

Greenpath: I'm guessing either Hornet or Mothwing Cloak? Not sure which.

I'm not sure what would happen if you defeated False Knight and didn't get Vengeful Spirit though.

Crossroads: Vengeful Spirit? Skipping False Knight and getting Vengeful Spirit triggers Cornifer to leave.
